Raised in Maine like a stalk of corn, I ventured past the eastern side of Vermont when I took off for college. The University of Wyoming is a great place to learn a skill. Traveling the open road taught me even more. My book, DRUG TRIP is based on the adventures I had while taking a week off from pharmacy school.
My poems can go from the silly, FART, to serious, DISTANCE. The pictures are all mine with a few exceptions. Most have not been 'photo shopped'.

Captures the events during a week off from the University of Wyoming. With a week off from pharmacy school, I jumped on my Yamaha 650 and took off for California. No maps, no cell phones, and hardly any money. The adventure tested my will to survive and proved to teach me more in one week about human nature than a four year degree could ever provide. The first day I nearly died, twice.
My heart spills over with unrequited love,
Yet bars are placed so no escape.
You pass me bye, and think not thereof,
Leave me here, in decaying shape.
Others like me, across this land,
Find themselves eternally damned.
Homes for us were poorly planned,
So we wait the hours, caged and crammed.
Let us into your lives we daily plead,
Don’t turn your back on such mournful souls.
Our lives are fragile, of this we cede,
A nurturing home is our only goal.
If you can’t, then let others know,
The plight of so many rests in your hands.
Mighty needle, please don’t bestow,
Save us from darkness, take a stand.
Raindrops keep falling on my head,
Keep falling on my head.
Day after day, it is here to stay,
No yellow globe, it has gone away.
Raindrops keep falling on my head,
If this keeps up my garden is dead.
Rain’s washed June away, soon July,
Roads so flooded, cows float by.
Raindrops keep falling on my head,
Everything is moldy, even my bread.
All is damp, no summer camp,
Any more rain, my nerves will unclamp.
Raindrops keep falling on my head,
Keep falling on my head.
Frickin rain is still falling,
Arizona I hear you calling!
